I've started re-reading "The Silmarillion" and it always makes me mad when I think about how Iluvatar created Melkor as a way to bring strife into the world and then let him be cast into the void.

No father should create a child just to be an object of hate (yes, I know I'm talking about a fiction deity but still!). And, since Iluvatar created all and knows all that will be, he should feel ashamed!

Ok. Now I'm done with my soapbox for fictional causes. :P

Pretty good day today. Been busy at work and then I had to run some errands but I got home and had some homemade chicken and noodle soup.
Time for Warcraft!

Life is good.

Been listening to some new podcasts and I recommend Arden and Murder We Wrote for anyone looking for fun, crime-related stories.

An uncle of mine passed away. I just found out today.

We weren't close but I was fond of him and my heart hurts. I can't imagine how my aunt and cousins are feeling right now. Not to mention my grandmother, his mom.

I'm not sure why he passed, and I'll not ask, but I suspect it has to do with his weight. He was grossly overweight and, while he'd loss quite a lot of it over the past few years, I can't help but wonder if it wasn't enough.

The thing is. I share my body type from that side of my family and I'm not as heavy as he got but I'm overweight too.

If I want to pass due to something other than being too lazy I need to get off my butt and get to it.

After my heart heals.

Arden (the podcast) posted it's season one final"e and it was good. However, I think ep11 was the best of the series for the "WTF" factor.

I've seemed to have fallen back into Sterek recently and am enjoying myself greatly.

Weekend for me

My work week starts on Sunday and ends on Thursday so Fridays are always my weekend and I LOVE it.

Saw that Warcraft 8.1 is dropping this week so I re-subbed. :D Now to get reputation capped w/the Honorbound so I can get the Mag'har orcs. Then start the grind for my dwarf shaman's heritage armor set. Then rep cap with Kul Tiras and Zandular so I can get their allied races when they finally drop...busy, busy, busy.

How's everyone else doing? Good I hope!

Listened to a few more podcast this week that are fabulous! Eos 10, Arden, and The Strange Case of Starship Iris and they are all SO SO SOOOOOOOOO good!

Thanks to Will Williams's twitter I discovered a new-to-me podcast and it's great!

It's called Arden and it's a mystery-comedy podcast that I'm enjoying greatly!

So, you’re interested in podcasts and aren’t sure where to start?

Here’s my list of podcasts that I love and think everyone should try out!

King Falls AM - “King Falls AM centers on a lonely little mountain town’s late-night AM talk radio show and its paranormal, peculiar happenings and inhabitants.”

I can’t say just how much I LOVE this series. Truly it’s one of my most favorite podcasts ever! If you love found family tropes, if you love the zany and kooky and scary or are just wanting an all around amazing story, this is for you! I want to say SO much more but I don’t think my words would do it justice! Give this a listen!

Girl in Space - “Nothing fancy here – just the simple audio diary of a girl in space. Also, there’s this weird and potentially ominous light in the distance that seems to be growing steadily closer.”

DUDES this is fantastic! I can’t say too much without giving things away. However, this is amazing world with truly great characters and some fun, fun times! Also, it makes me laugh and I love it and I hope you do too!!!!

Archive 81 - “Archive 81 is a fiction podcast about horror, cities, and the subconscious.”

It’s also a story that takes you to far off places and introduces you to some amazing characters and I’m really looking forward to many more episodes!!

The Bridge -“It’s an alternate 2016, and Watchtower 10 sits in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, keeping lonely watch over the Transcontinental Bridge.”

This series dudes! So, so GOOD! So FUN! And I’m still not sure how the whole bridge across the sea works but this series sure does! I look forward to seeing what troubles the gang work themselves into and out of each episode!

Limetown - “Ten years ago, over three hundred men, women and children disappeared from a small town in Tennessee, never to be heard from again.

In this podcast, American Public Radio reporter Lia Haddock asks the question once more, "What happened to the people of Limetown?”“

I can’t say enough how fantastic I’ve found this series! Really, If you want some chills and a WTF moments, this is your cup of tea! Also, I’m on tender hooks waiting to find out what happens next!!!

The White Vault - "Follow the collected records of a repair team sent to Outpost Fristed in the vast white wastes of Svalbard and unravel what lies waiting in the ice below.”

OMG! This show is so great and SO scary! I have to listen to it during the day cause it creeps me out too much at night!

Eos 10 - “ Doctors in space, a deposed alien prince, a super gay space pirate and a fiery nurse who’ll help you win your bar fight. “

This show is great! I love the interaction between the characters, the story, and I’m torn between wanting to visit Eos 10 and being SO glad it’s not a real place! :P

I've recently become enamored of podcasts.

Just being able to hear wonderful stories, meet fabulous characters, and some of the weirdness they include are just a blast!

Here's some of my favorite ones:

King Falls AM - A podcast that is about an AM talk radio show in a small mountain town that is SO FUCKING fantastic!

Girl in Space - It's about a girl. In space. and cheese. :D

Limetown - SO SO good! Creepy, fascinating, and one of the best! Also, a story about a town that goes missing and the reporter telling their story.

Archive 81 - The story of a man archiving tapes and what he finds.

The White Vault - Five people in an arctic station and what happens when they're trapped in a snow storm.

I know these summaries don't really tell you about them but these podcasts are SOOOO good and I highly recommend them to everyone to give a listen too!
